I haven't read all the classics that people should have read, but oh well, I'm getting there. Usually I choose a book based on the cover. I know, it's a terrible way, but I do think a good cover is one of the first things that gets people interested. But then the blurb definitely has interest me.
Sometimes though, my love for books can be a little bit too much. When a book is really good, I cannot put it down. Cue super late nights and getting little sleep, and procrastinating. Books are such a good way to procrastinate. Getting lost in a different world. Swept up in a story that is different from your own. It's like an opportunity to escape your own life for a small moment.
So, for the love of books I came up with the idea of 'What Mish Read'.
Currently the concept is more about me reading said books then letting you know about it...so it's really more a reviewing club. For now it's just little ol' me in this little book club, but if people show interest maybe one day it will become an actual book club and we can all read a book together at the same time. Maybe we could be the Australian version of Reese Witherspoon's book club. Who knows, we'll see. š
Last year I finished reading Kate Mosse's triology based in the south of France. If you love mysteries and stories told at different points in time but they end up connected, definitely check her trilogy out! I came across Mosse when I was looking for another one of Kate Morton's books. Very similar style with the whole two stories happening at different points in time but ended up connected, but I love how Mosse linked all 3 of her books together.
Anyway, this is just a start of something that may or may not be anything but it's something to blog about!
I'll let you know what I am currently reading soon!
Big hugs,
Mish
